The Cats

Florentine-garden-face.jpg (118057 bytes)

Florentine is my first attempt at a feline and I think, while there's room for improvement, he's not bad!  I don't know cats but a friend insisted that I try my hand and so I now have a cat in my house!

Florentine measures about 7 1/2 Fl-garden-walk.jpg (158835 bytes) inches tall at his shoulders and 15 inches long from nose to rump, his tail being an extra 9 inches.  He's made in a tipped French velour (very soft) with an off-white synthetic chin, chest and tummy.  His inner ears are ultrasuede and his paw pads are upholstery fabric.   Green catFlori.jpg (124667 bytes) safety-lock eyes bring him to life, with a Fimo sculpted nose and nylon whiskers and "eye whiskers".  Hand-stitched embroidery floss mouth and toes add detail while he's wired from the neck to the tip of his tail for complete posability!  Finally, he's stuffed with polyester fiberfil, patience and lots of love!

In the future, I hope to make another cat working with all my friends' suggestions for improvements and, of course, adding claws!  Meanwhile, I have to apologize to my rats!
